Brookfield Cemetery is Manorville’s only active burial ground and is operated as a not-for-profit, non-sectarian Cemetery Corporation.
With an ‘Our Town’ vibe, the setting is rural and steeped in Manorville history. Brookfield Cemetery is the final resting place of the towns’ founders: Generations of our original landowners, farmers, and entrepreneurs are interred here.
Brookfield Cemetery is a basic, no-frills cemetery. You will not find a chapel, columbarium, mausoleum, vault, or niche walls.
The Brookfield Cemetery Corporation is regulated by the New York State Division of Cemeteries: (518) 474-6226
Brookfield Cemetery is managed by a group of seven (7) volunteer Trustees. The Trustees hold an annual meeting every April. The meeting location, date and time are published in the South Shore Press every three (3) weeks prior to the meeting date.
While the meetings are open to the public, only lot owners can vote on issues relating to cemetery operation.
